History
Luminox was founded in 1989 by Barry Cohen in San Rafael, California. In 1993, Navy SEAL officer Nick North approached Luminox seeking an always-visible timepiece for operations, creating the original Navy SEAL watch. Luminox Light Technology (LLT) uses tritium gas tubes for constant illumination up to 25 years without charging or external light, making them genuine instruments for zero-visibility environments. Navy SEAL editions honor the elite warriors whose real-world demands forged the brand.
