History

Doxa was founded in 1889 by Georges Ducommun in Le Locle, Switzerland. The brand's defining moment came in 1967 with the SUB 300 — one of the first dive watches built for recreational divers, featuring a decompression bezel and the legendary bright orange dial. The SUB 300 caught Jacques-Yves Cousteau's attention, and Doxa partnered with Aqua-Lung (co-founded by Cousteau) to produce the SUB 300T "Conquistador," cementing its place in diving history. Doxa's vivid dial colors — orange, yellow, turquoise, black — each originally corresponded to different diving specializations.
