History
Christopher Ward was founded in 2004 in the UK by Chris Ward, Mike France, and Peter Ellis, selling Swiss-made watches exclusively online to cut retail markups. The SH21 movement (~2019) was a landmark — a true manufacture caliber making CW one of very few brands at their price with genuine in-house capability. The C63 True GMT, powered by an SH21 derivative, offers an independently adjustable GMT hand typically reserved for watches costing several times more, cementing Christopher Ward as perhaps the greatest value proposition in modern watchmaking.
