Description
The Ingenieur Automatic 35 platform continues to expand with two new references that push the collection in complementary directions. The IW324911 adds a diamond-set bezel in 18-carat 5N gold for dressy elegance, while the IW324907 offers a dark blue dial on steel for refined everyday wear. Both maintain the integrated bracelet design and the functional, ergonomic 35mm case that has made this platform a hit with collectors who prefer a more compact wrist presence.
Design
The IW324911 is the statement piece: 45 white diamonds (0.7 carats total) set in an 18-carat 5N rose gold bezel, with a lighter dial and gold-plated accents. The IW324907 takes the subtle route: a dark blue dial on a full stainless steel case and bracelet. Both share the functional Grid-pattern dial, gold-plated oscillating weight visible through the caseback, and the integrated 35mm bracelet design with its characteristic 5-screw bezel. The functional screws on the bezel are a heritage detail from the original Genta design.

What's Exciting About This Watch
The Ingenieur 35mm is IWC's answer to the growing demand for smaller luxury sports watches. At CHF 10,500, the blue steel IW324907 is one of the most accessible Ingenieur models — an in-house IWC on an integrated bracelet for just over ten grand is a compelling proposition. The diamond version at CHF 17,500 adds serious jewelry appeal while maintaining the Ingenieur's sporty DNA. Both represent IWC's bet that the integrated-bracelet luxury sports watch doesn't need to be 40mm+ to succeed.
History
The 35mm Ingenieur was introduced to serve collectors with smaller wrists and those who prefer a more restrained presence. The addition of a diamond-bezel option signals IWC's recognition that the Ingenieur audience is broader than the traditional male engineer stereotype — and that luxury sports watches with gem-setting have mainstream appeal.
