Citizen has refreshed the Promaster Dive 200M for summer 2026, announced on 16 July 2026 in Japan with a US rollout to follow later in the month. The update brings three US-bound references — BN0265-00A (white dial, olive strap), BN0266-07E (black) and BN0267-04L (blue gradient) — plus a Japan-exclusive BN0268-01E with a black dial and orange bezel.
The headline is not the colours but the movement and the fit: a slightly smaller 40.6mm case, an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, and a new-generation Eco-Drive calibre that runs for roughly a year on a single full charge. At USD 450 (¥69,300 in Japan), it stakes a strong claim as one of the best-value ISO-certified light-powered divers you can buy.
Design
The stainless steel case measures 40.6mm across, 11.7mm thick and weighs about 86g, trimmed down from the outgoing generation to sit better on smaller wrists. It keeps the Promaster dive essentials: a unidirectional timing bezel, a screw-down crown and 200m water resistance certified to the ISO 6425 dive standard. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal replaces the older mineral glass, a meaningful upgrade at this price.
Dial choices span a clean white (BN0265), a stealthy black (BN0266) and a blue gradient (BN0267) for the US market, with the orange-bezel BN0268 reserved for Japan. All arrive on a 20mm BENEBiOL biomass-urethane strap — a plant-derived material in keeping with Citizen's sustainability messaging.

What's Exciting
The interesting change is the movement, not the palette. The new E118 replaces the long-serving E168 and pushes full-charge autonomy to roughly a year, which — combined with an ISO 6425 rating, a sapphire crystal and a screw-down crown — makes this one of the most genuinely low-maintenance real dive watches at USD 450: no battery swaps, no winding, no servicing anxiety. Citizen also trimmed the case to 40.6mm, fixing the one persistent complaint about older Promaster divers, which wore large. History
Citizen introduced Eco-Drive — its light-powered technology that charges from any light source and eliminates battery changes — in 1976, and this year marks half a century of that programme. The 200M sits below the deeper Promaster Professional divers and has become the brand's default recommendation for a first proper diver.
