Parmigiani Fleurier has executed the Tonda PF Skeleton entirely in 18k rose gold and dressed the openworked architecture in a deep, saturated Milano Blue. Reference PFC912-2020004-200182 is limited to 30 individually numbered pieces at CHF 97,000 (EUR 109,500), sold through the brand's boutiques.
The Tonda PF has quietly become one of the best-argued integrated-bracelet watches of the decade, and the skeleton version is where the case proportions do the most work. At 40mm by 8.5mm it stays inside the dimensions that make the line credible as a daily watch rather than a display object, and it keeps 100m of water resistance — more than a solid-gold dress-sport watch strictly needs, which is rather the point.
Design
The case alternates polished and satin-brushed surfaces, with the knurled bezel and teardrop lugs that identify the PF line from across a room. The screw-down crown measures 4.3mm. Sapphire crystals front and back.
The skeletonised movement architecture is treated in Milano Blue across sandblasted and satin-finished surfaces, with hand-applied 18k rose gold indices and skeletonised delta-shaped rose gold hands — warm metal against cold blue, which is the whole colour argument. The integrated 18k rose gold bracelet repeats the polished-and-satin alternation and closes on a rose gold folding clasp. Through the display back, a skeletonised 22k rose gold oscillating weight.

What's Exciting
Blue-on-rose-gold skeletons are one of the easiest ways to make an expensive watch look cheap. The colour combination flatters photographs and punishes real light, and most brands over-polish their way into something that reads as costume. What Parmigiani gets right here is restraint in the finishing: sandblasted and satin surfaces across the openworked architecture, so the blue absorbs light rather than bouncing it, and the gold appears only where it does structural work — indices, hands, rotor, case.
The other quiet achievement is 8.5mm. A solid-gold integrated-bracelet watch with a 60-hour automatic and 100m of water resistance has every excuse to be thick, and the field it competes in mostly is. Keeping it under nine millimetres is what makes the difference between a watch you own and a watch you wear.
History
Michel Parmigiani founded the manufacture in Fleurier in 1996, building it on a restoration practice — he was the watchmaker trusted with the Sandoz Family Foundation's historic collection — and that archival grounding still shapes the brand's proportions and finishing vocabulary.
The Tonda PF line arrived in 2021 under CEO Guido Terreni as a deliberate reset: quieter dials, no visible branding on the bezel, knurled platinum or gold bezels, and a strict discipline about size. It repositioned Parmigiani almost overnight from a technically respected but stylistically diffuse maker into one of the clearest voices in the integrated-bracelet category. The skeleton execution, introduced later in the line's life, is the version that lets the PF777 do the talking — and this rose gold Milano Blue is its most decorated interpretation to date.
