Studio Underd0g, the British microbrand that turned playful, food-named dials into a genuine cult following, has overhauled its 02Series field watch. The second generation is slimmer, runs a more powerful movement, and arrives in four colours — including the new Nightshade and Red L0lly — while keeping the price that made the original such an easy recommendation.
This is a case where the value story is the entire story. Studio Underd0g has kept the 02Series at its familiar entry price while meaningfully improving the two things buyers actually feel on the wrist: thickness and power reserve.
Design
The stainless steel case stays compact at 37.5mm across and 46mm lug-to-lug, but the brand has shaved the overall height to 11.5mm — and notes that without the signature domed sapphire crystal, the case itself is just 9.4mm. The Gen 2 line spans Pink Lem0nade, Steffany Blue, Red L0lly and Nightshade, keeping the collection's colourful, faintly irreverent character intact. The tall box-dome crystal remains the defining visual signature.

The "9.4mm without the crystal" detail is telling: almost all of the height that remains is the brand's beloved box-dome sapphire, not dead case metal. History
Studio Underd0g was founded by Richard Benc and built its reputation on the "Watermel0n" and other fruit-dialled chronographs that sold out on release and commanded premiums on the secondary market. The 02Series brought that sensibility to a simpler, time-only field watch. This Gen 2 is the brand's first ground-up revision of the model, signalling a maturing microbrand refining its hits rather than simply chasing new ones.
